Ian McKee wears a number of hats in his professional life. Primarily he is the Development Manager for North Tyneside Coalition of Disabled People (NTCDP) a local North Tyneside based Charity dealing with a very wide range of issues concerning disabled people.
As part of his commitment to supporting statutory authorities, he provides expertise, status and networking abilities to bring community and voluntary sectors together. Ian is an active part of the North Tyneside Strategic Partnership (NTSP) as the Chair of the Green North Tyneside (GNT). It is in this capacity that Ian’s organisation is responsible, on behalf of the NTSP, for sponsoring the Green Business and Sustainability North Tyneside Business Award. This is the fourth year of sponsorship, which has seen two of the participating businesses not only winning the coveted award, but also being named as the overall winner of the Business of the Year Award, beating some very long-established competition.
“As you can imagine, we are all extremely proud of the past achievements,” explains Ian. “The success of this award has shown how highly the judges have valued those companies committed to environmental good practice. It also shows everyone, by example, what can be achieved with the right approach.
“North Tyneside benefits from rewarding good practice and outstanding achievement and showcases the tremendous range of committed and diverse businesses that we are lucky enough to have across the borough.”
