North Tyneside Manufacturers’ Forum
The North Tyneside Manufacturers’ Forum is a peer-led group of leaders from across all areas of the local manufacturing sector. It is directed by a Steering Group made up as follows:
- Chair: Andrew Esson – Quick Hydraulics
- Pat Davidson – Rotational Engineering Ltd
- Robert Bowles – Barrier Ltd
- Toby Bridges – NBT Group
- Scott Duncan – EEF
Its aim is to bring together a group of like-minded individuals who are keen to share successes and failures, to learn from this, and to engage with relevant external organizations or individuals.
Chair Andrew Esson says, “I believe that networks and relationships are necessary to building a stronger business base in the area. There are many successful companies operating within North Tyneside who want to contribute towards the overall success of the local manufacturing industry. I am confident that we can harness their support to assist some of our smaller companies who may benefit from peer-led assistance”
The Manufacturers’ Forum seeks to work with businesses who are not already actively engaged with other business networks and who may need to improve aspects of their business but not know where to start.
The NTMF plan is to create a practical, deliverable range of services to include:
- Sharing Best Practice (Self-Help Support)
This is achieved through a programme of events, meetings and business visits (‘safari’s’) so that group members can visit each others’ premises with a view to building relationships, learning new techniques and sharing best practice. See below for details of past and forthcoming events.
