Trades in North Tyneside invited to workshop

North Tyneside Council has been back in direct management of the construction, repairs and maintenance of housing and commercial buildings for six months and is now looking to expand the number of contractors in its supply chain even further.

The Council is inviting local business owners; from cleaners and glaziers to landscapers and locksmiths, to register for the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to be able to bid for council contracts worth up to £5,000.

Working with smaller, local providers gives the Council greater flexibility, quality of service and competitive rates. Once registered and approved in the DPS, contractors can bid for jobs for three years.

A workshop is available for any local business owners interested in signing up to the DPS but who want to learn more about how to register and use the system to its full potential.

DPS workshop:

Thursday 31st October 2019

8.30am – 12.00pm

Willow Room, Parks Leisure Centre

Contact North Tyneside Council’s business team on 0191 643 6410 or by emailing [email protected] with any questions or to sign up for the workshop.
