North Tyneside Council would like too invite members of North Tyneside Business Forum to a workshop to inform North Tyneside’s Climate Emergency Action Plan.
A letter is below
Dear Sir/Madam,
In July 2019, North Tyneside Council declared a climate emergency, reflecting our commitment to preserve the environment in North Tyneside. As part of this, we have established a Climate Emergency Board with the mission become a carbon neutral Borough by 2050. We are now beginning a piece of work to develop a Borough wide Climate Emergency Action Plan, which will outline the steps that we will take to deliver against this commitment. We cannot do this alone.
The annual North Tyneside State of the Area event held in November 2019, was themed on climate change and aspects of climate emergencies. The enthusiasm and commitment from the participants to get further involved with developing actions and support to make a difference was overwhelming.
We would like to hear from local businesses, public bodies, Third Sector and community groups to inform the shared development of an Action Plan that people can get behind.
We’re therefore delighted to invite you to the first of a series of stakeholder workshops to inform North Tyneside’s Climate Emergency Action Plan. The first workshop will focus on developing a whole energy system vision for North Tyneside, identifying strategic priority areas across heat and energy efficiency, power and transport. It will take place on:
Tuesday 3rd March, 09:00 – 12:00, at the Langdale Centre, Langdale Gardens, Wallsend NE28 0HG.
We would very much like to have you join us to share your views as a key stakeholder.
