We’ve been working hard with our partners in the police, trading standards and public protection to clarify some of the do’s and dont’s of Lockdown 2 for non-essential businesses in North Tyneside
CAN
Businesses forced to close in non-essential retail can operate as a click & collect service, where goods are pre-ordered and collected off the premises and also delivery service.
Serve Food and Drink (but not alcohol) for take away from cafes, bars, restaurants etc without pre ordering before 10pm.
Work in other people’s homes, where it is necessary for you to – for example, for nannies, cleaners or tradespeople
CAN’T
Serve alcohol as a takeaway – alcohol must be ordered via click & collect.
Provide personal care services (including hairdressers, beauticians etc) in other peoples’ homes
