Recognising a Former Member of the Management Team

Lee Patterson from Whitley Bay was head of Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College in North Shields and passed away aged just 51 with a brain tumour just seven weeks after his diagnosis.

Lee was a valued member of the Business Forum and gave up his free time to help advise and support businesses in the Borough.

The Business Forum Management Group have chosen to recognise his valued contribution by taking part in Wear a Hat Day in aid of Brain Tumour Research on Friday 26th March.

We are encouraging the management group to wear a hat in their next Zoom meeting on 1st April, our networking session on 23rd March and we’re asking Business Forum members to post selfies of yourself wearing a hat on our Facebook page and in our members-only group

Business Forum members can also donate to Brain Tumour Research on the Wear a Hat Day website here

Karen Goldfinch, Chair of North Tyneside Business Forum said: “Lee put in a great deal of work for the Forum and it was a great shock when we heard about his sudden passing. I’d like to think that he would be smiling at us wearing our hats knowing that his memory was helping other people too.”
