Digital Pathfinders Steam Ahead at North Tyneside Business Forum

New digital technology aimed at streamlining and developing businesses is now within easy reach of businesses across the region thanks to the new North of Tyne Digital Pathfinders Programme.

Now, an online networking workshop will examine the digital opportunities specifically available to businesses in North Tyneside.

The North Tyneside Business Forum is holding the free virtual online event for its members on 8th July 2021 at 11am and is an opportunity for businesses to network, discuss challenges, opportunities and meet Andrew Esson, an experienced technology strategist with over twenty years experience of deploying digital technology within small and large businesses.

Andrew is Vice-Chair of the North Tyneside Business Forum and he is also one of a team of five digital experts who have formed Steam Digital helping clients grow and adapt to change by enabling smarter digital decision making.

Steam Digital are one of four partner organisations who have come together to deliver the Digital Pathfinders Programme (www.digitalpathfinders.uk) to help SMEs, charities and social enterprises across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland become more successful and resilient by adopting to digital technology.

As Andrew explains, the digital revolution is now available to more businesses than ever.

“Digital pathfinders is a three year fully funded programme which will create opportunities for SMEs to embrace digital technology to improve efficiency, resilience and ultimately profitability.

“There is a huge disconnect between experts talking about new and emerging digital technologies and the day to day reality of normal businesses and the business challenges they face. We realised that Steam Digital can help businesses to understand where they are in their business and how to implement the right digital technology to make their business grow. There are five of us in Steam Digital each with a specific digital area of expertise and we’ve all employed digital technology in our businesses or for our clients.”

Karen Goldfinch Chair of North Tyneside Business Forum said:

“We are delighted that Andrew will be sharing his knowledge with our members and letting them know how the programme will support businesses by finding their digital route to success. The beauty about digital technology is that it can be adapted and used by anyone from small customer management systems for start-up businesses to manufacturing automation processes for large multinationals. This is perfect for the Forum as our members range from small start up businesses to large multinationals across all sectors of industry.’

The North Tyneside Business Forum is run by a management group made up of members from various industry sectors in the Borough and gives support in the form of networking, events and signposting for growth and development. Membership is free and open to any business of any size with a trading address within North Tyneside. The Business Forum is supported by, but not run by North Tyneside Council.

The Forum is FREE to join and is for any business with a trading address in North Tyneside.
