Free reopening resources for businesses

Free reopening resources for businesses

Businesses can now access free COVID-19 resources for their premises

With retailers, leisure centres, personal care and hospitality (outdoors) reopening their businesses after months of lockdown, North Tyneside Business Forum have been working with North Tyneside Council to assist businesses. The packs are being supported by the Restarting High Streets Safely Fund, supporting by European Regional Development Fund.

As part of the Roadmap to Restarting Business campaign, those reopening from 12th April can now apply for free posters and social distancing materials to display in their premises.

One of the posters is the official government Covid Secure posters, a shop or a hospitality poster, wear a face covering, 5x social distancing floor stickers and 3x maintain your distance posters.

Initially 400 packs will be available free of charge to any North Tyneside-based business planning to reopen. Collection or delivery will be from two town centre-based printing companies – YPD Creative in North Shields, and Request a Guest in Whitley Bay.

Karen Goldfinch, Chair of North Tyneside Business Forum said:” We are offering traditional advice and support via our social media channels on all aspects of restarting businesses.

“We felt that something more practical would be beneficial to retailers in particular. Sometimes the little things get missed out and this simple poster and social distancing measure stickers informs and protects the customer and reminds every retailer in the Borough that we are there to help.

“As many of our non-essential retailers start to reopen, partnership working is key. It is with the support of town centre Chambers, who have eyes on the ground, and North Tyneside Council and Public Health that we deliver a consistent and measured approach to reopening our towns and district centres together.”

Businesses can now access a pack which contains the following

  • 1 x shop or hospitality poster
  • 1 x Gov Covid Secure poster
  • 1 x wear a mask poster
  • 5 x keep your distance distance floor stickers
  • 3 x maintain your distance posters
