We act as a link between local, regional and national business groups, decision makers, local Chambers of Trade, North Tyneside Council, the education sector and the third sector.
We all run our organisations in the same geographical area and share similar goals, so why not work closely together to support local businesses and the surrounding community?
As a member of the Business Forum – which is free of charge – you can express your business views to key decision makers to help generate economic prosperity, business growth and employment.
Here’s a little more information about the partners we work alongside:
North Tyneside Council works shoulder to shoulder with local businesses to encourage growth and success. That’s why it funds and facilitates the Business Forum.
Through the Forum, the Council offers business support services including advice on premises, funding, start-ups and inward investment.
In addition, the Business and Enterprise team’s Business Development Officers deliver support and advice to new and existing businesses in the area. We can help you with anything from sourcing suitable premises and recruiting staff to planning to funding advice.
The Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade is a growing association that works to support local businesses and represent the needs of all organisations in the community. We provide support, networking opportunities and regular communications with members to create a business community in the town.
Signing up as a member of Whitley Bay Chamber enables local businesses to have their voice heard on local issues which may affect the business community as a whole.
The North Shields Business Chamber works in partnership with North Tyneside Council, the Town Centre Representative for North Shields, Northumbria Police and the Tourism department, to ensure North Shields is a fabulous place to live, work and visit.
There are exciting plans to regenerate North Shields town centre and the Chamber needs the views of local business on how to achieve this.
North Shields Business Chamber strives to help traders and the local community. Their services are available to members from retail, the service industry and professional services companies.
Wallsend Chamber is affiliated to North Tyneside Business Forum and is the voice of the business community in Wallsend and the surrounding area. The Chamber will be working to encourage economic growth, employment opportunities, business sustainability and corporate responsibility for its members. We will collaborate with other representative bodies and organisations as well as Northumbria Police and the local schools & colleges to support these objectives.
Business is not just about the numbers. It is about investing in people. It is about investing in the community. Wallsend Chamber is committed to building the Business Community for the benefit of the local people and community groups.
North East England Chamber of Commerce is the region’s largest member organisation, representing around 3,000 businesses. From SME’s to multi-nationals, the Chamber brings business people together across a range of member events, to ensure they get access to the best possible support.
Chamber members share conversations, experience and connections. Members come together to influence and expand the world they do business in.
For over 200 years, the Chamber have been helping businesses and individuals grow their network, knowledge, influence and reach.
The Sector Connector project gathers support from the local business sector for local community organisations.
This support could include the donation of time and skills (i.e. volunteering), or it could take the form of businesses offering goods, services and facilities to the voluntary sector on a discounted or donated basis.
The project has supported over 100 voluntary groups so far and has involved over 70 businesses.
Businesses who engage in the project benefit from a range of positive PR opportunities including press releases and references on the project website; other opportunities are being developed.
