The Department for International Development (DFID) is delighted to invite you to a free information ‘Open for Business’ event, which is being hosted by the North of Tyne Combined Authority.
Date: Friday 7/12/2018 at the City Library, 33 New Bridge Street West, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 8AX.
The event will provide information on DFID’s work and pipeline of business coming up over the next 18- 24 months and how organisations can access bidding and funding opportunities (either separately or as part of a group).
DFID wishes to encourage as many different types of business to engage with it as possible. Exact future contract requirements are, as yet, unknown but opportunities are likely to be so diverse that most SMEs and larger businesses would benefit from coming along to hear about the opportunities in working with UKAid.
DFID is interested in speaking with organisations who are willing & able to work in the following geographical locations where DFID has offices including: China, Indonesia, Burma, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Caribbean, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Rwanda and Burundi, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
In addition to senior members of DFID’s Procurement and Commercial team there will also be representatives from the Department for International Trade (DIT) who will be able to advise on how they can assist you to access Global funding and exporting opportunities.
Please note that due to limited places being available the deadline for registering an interest in attending is Friday 30th November 2018.
