We have an exciting opportunity to join the Unisus Wellbeing team as an Associate Counsellor working with employees of local businesses in need of mental health and emotional wellbeing support.
Unisus is a group of companies which operates as a social enterprise, delivering services under three sub brands – skills, care and wellbeing to empower people to reach their potential.
Our wellbeing service has been working with students on placement since 2019 to provide support to local people who are experiencing low level anxiety and depression and we are now looking to expand on this by offering our services to local businesses for their employees. We work with adults face to face and also online through Zoom. We hope to expand our range of options for clients so we can offer telephone counselling alongside this.
Our offices are based in Wallsend.
We support CPD through our group supervision meetings and we can support you to access a clinical supervisor should you require this.
You’ll be a qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist, eligible for accreditation with BACP or UKCP, with experience working across mental health settings with adults. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver a range of psychological interventions. Experience in delivering short-term psychological therapy is essential. We are also looking for counsellors with strong assessment skills and good organisational skills for timely clinical reporting.
In addition to delivering one-to-one therapy, we also deliver workshops to groups of employees, along themes such as resilience, mental health awareness, sleep. Experience in delivering workshops/training is desirable, although training will be given. If training others just isn’t your cup of tea, however, that’s ok too – we are also looking for clinicians who are at their best delivering great therapy.
This position will suit counsellors who are looking for extra clients, have other commitments and who want to fit work around these.
