Trust is important

Trust is important

We love talking to members about what they do, why they love North Tyneside as a place to do business. We’ve been chatting to Anne Morrison Hypnotherapy, NLP and BWRT ®

Tell us a little bit more about your business

I offer a number of different solution-focussed approaches: – Coaching, NLP, Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, Integral Eye Movement Therapy (similar to EMDR), BrainWorking Recursive Therapy, Relationship Counselling.

Clients come to me for help because they want to change something about themselves or the way they live. The type of issues that I’ve helped people resolve or cope better with, include: anxiety, stress, phobias of all types, PTSD, past abuse and relationship issues. I’ve been working in the personal development field since 2002. I started providing coaching and training and have moved more into the mental wellbeing area.

What is your motivation for doing what you do?

Often clients regard themselves as ‘broken’ because they haven’t coped with things as well as they think they ‘should’. Sometimes they feel that things are totally out of their control or that they’re useless or worthless. I love seeing the reactions of people as they change and realise that they can do many of the things they thought they couldn’t. Hearing how they coped with difficult situations in a more helpful way or felt a greater sense of self confidence or looking after themselves is always good.

What are your plans for the business?

To continue doing what I’m doing. I’ve been working with employees from a number of companies in the north east and would like to expand that area. I have mp3s available via Audible and also my website. My CD’s are on sale too and on Ebay and Amazon. I will be expanding the range of audios and on line offerings.

How has North Tyneside Business Forum helped your business? And what’s your favourite thing about doing business in North Tyneside?

As a sole worker it’s often the social aspect of meetings that is nice. I have used local businesses for printing and web development. Working in North Tyneside and having a range of businesses that you know more about and get to trust is important.

Have you worked in collaboration with any other North Tyneside businesses?

I work with a group of other therapists to provide employee support for a large local employer. In the past I’ve collaborated to develop training materials and deliver coaching and training to various organisations both in the North East and internationally.

One thing that makes your business different from the rest

Given the nature of my business it would be me and my skills.
