Connecting and Supporting Businesses in North Tyneside

A supportive network for businesses in North Tyneside to ensure local business is well connected and represented.

North Tyneside Business Forum is one of the largest support organisations for businesses in the North East.

Established for nearly 10 years the North Tyneside Business Forum was formed to create a supportive network for businesses in North Tyneside and ensure local business is well connected and represented.

We support any business with a trading address in North Tyneside and membership is free for businesses in the borough.

SMEs make up over 95% of the North Tyneside economy and it’s in everyone’s interest to help our local business base thrive.

We can put members straight to the heart of local business by accessing the most relevant business support services and organisations. 

The Forum provides guidance for local businesses through a range of member benefits, opportunities and networking events.

What we do for local businesses

Education & Third Sector

We provide a link between education, including apprenticeship providers, and the third sector to support businesses maintain Corporate Social Responsibility.

Supported by North Tyneside Council

The North Tyneside Business Forum is supported by but not run by North Tyneside Council. The Council offer enormous support to the Forum and regular meetings are held between the Council, and the Chair.

Key Decision Makers

Ensure your voice and business ideas are heard by key decision makers in business support services, the local authority and more.

Chambers of Trade

We attend the regular Town Centre Task Group and work closely with the local Chambers of Trade in Wallsend, North Shields and Whitley Bay.

Link between local & regional business groups

We represent the views of members on key local and regional decision-making groups including North Tyneside Council cabinet, strategic partnership, local and regional business groups, and education boards.

Consultation on Local issues

We are consulted on all major local issues in the borough, including emergency services provision, Council budgets, North of Tyne Combined Authority, education, employment, health care, the local area plan and transport.

Management Team

A business-led cross-section of sectors, providing advice and guidance on areas of expertise.

Our Partners

We act as a link between local, regional and national business groups, and decision makers.

We’ll help you find support and networking opportunities by running events and encouraging collaborative working with other businesses in the area.
